the giant bike ride

canberra has fantastic bike paths, and mands and i had spotted a nice looking section by the side of the relatively new gungahlin drive extension on our travels to bunnings last weekend, so we decided to go check it out this afternoon as it was a lovely day.

maybe other people won't think it was GIANT (because it doesn't look it on the map) but it was a loop of over 12km so it was big for us! we completed the route in under 2 hours, and that included going to gorman house markets for lunch and stopping off at civic video to get the 5 for $12 dvd deal :)

mands' spinach and cheese gozleme (new stall ell bee!) at gorman house markets
my trial of the 'new' gourmet cheese and spinach pupusa from the el salvadorian stall - unsure about this one ell bee, to be honest it was hard to be objective because as soon as i saw the gozleme stall that's what i wanted!! the chilli sauce was extra hot today which was awesome until i breathed some in while laughing - massive coughing fit ensued!

Nice! Makes me a bit nostalgic for GH. My epic journey yesterday was to a NY party on the West side of Tokyo - 3 trains and a bus each direction - roughly 2 hours each way (but without the exercise!)
